Summer at Goodwood

Three British World Champions  charge through the St Mary’s section of Goodwood during the 1962 TT, as Graham Hill’s Coombs Ferrari 250 GTO leads Jim Clark’s Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato and the sister Maranello GTO of John Surtees.  Clark later uncharacteristically spun the Aston, which was outclassed in this company, collecting Surtees and taking both out of the race.  Hill trailed home second behind the winning UDT Laystall GTO of Innes Ireland who raced mostly for the hell of it, but raced pretty hard…..
